Grooming Salon

At The Barkary, we offer a start to finish service for your best friends’ grooming needs. Your dog will receive a nail inspection and a trim, if required and we will also do a full ear check and clean. We provide a bath and blow dry service which can be a standalone service or part of your dog’s full grooming experience. Full grooms also include a full hair cut designed to suit the breed of dog and the specifications of the owner. Rest assured, the shampoos and conditioners used by us are suitable for the most sensitive of skins and are all tear free.

Health
All pets are checked for the skin condition, coat, eyes, ears and teeth, we will alert you of potential health problems and may recommend that your pet visit a veterinarian.
We also provide special treatments should your dog have fleas or ticks. Regular grooming keeps your pet healthy and looking nice!

Safety
The grooming parlour environment is fresh, clean and secure to ensure your dog is safe and comfortable. Easy pickup and drop-off parking.

We provide several different dog grooming services from our premises in the Barkary

Brush Only
For any breed that needs coat maintenance between grooms, this service requires that dogs are clean and only minor matt removal** will be undertaken Prices start from £10

Bath & Dry Only
For short-haired breeds or as a top up in between the normal grooming cycle for longer haired fully groomed breeds. Prices start from £12

As a general guide for dogs that have received regular grooming and whose coats are in reasonable condition grooming prices start from:

** Please note de-matting policy and any extensive matting will be removed at an extra charge**

Dog Grooming Prices are subject to change due to condition of coat and individual breed size. Matted and difficult dogs will be charged accordingly. Final price to be charged will be quoted at the consultation prior to grooming and will be dependent on:

Breed & actual size of dog
Coat length
Time since last groomed
Degree of matting
Your styling requirement
Dogs behaviour

Should your dog arrive at the salon with fleas an extra charge of £10 will be incurred – this is to cover the cost of the flea shampoo and treating the salon to prevent flea infestation afterwards.

To get rid of those annoying little biters your dog will be bathed with a flea & tick shampoo and a spot-on treatment applied.

With a refreshing blend of vanilla & blueberry our spa facial will remove dirt and reduce tear stains without stinging the eyes.

Nail clipping/trimming is an important part of our overall grooming service and should be carried out regularly by a trained professional.

Keeping the fur around the eyes trimmed helps to avoid tear staining and avoids uncomfortable irritation for your dog. The eyes are hygienically cleaned to remove wax and sleep.
